Surprise!!!
Sunday began like every other Sunday morning here on Okinawa, brunch at the officer’s club. Then it was back to the room for nap time. Have I mentioned how great nap time is? I wanted to go to the shopping district in the afternoon, but Greg kept changing the subject and continued to mention just taking Brady to the park outside our hotel. Do you know how many times I have been to the park outside the hotel? It’s almost too many! Just before they went outside Greg told me that Brady had a late Valentine’s Day surprise for me. Whoo-hooo! I love surprises! Greg had scheduled me an appointment to get a massage that afternoon! He is so fantastic! I love Greg whether he does things for me or not, but it is nice to have nice things done for you. The masseuse weighed 10 lbs tops! She was tiny and boy did I underestimate her strength! She was climbing on the table and pulled me in directions I have never been. I’m talking about a massage so thorough she massaged my armpits and the back of my knees. It felt so good! Then it was off to find something for dinner. We ended up at Kenny’s Beer Restaurant, and what we thought would be a low key, family friendly place (it did have beer in the name after all) turned out to be really fancy! The best part about it was there were no straps on the high chair. So while we were given warm cloths to wipe our hands Brady was standing in his chair staring at people seated outside. We managed to wrangle him enough for us to almost finish dinner before he broke loose, but then in the nick of time a piano started playing and he stopped trying to run and began to dance! Talk about timing! We ended our evening by walking around a shopping mall where we discovered that clothes here are very expensive, like a set of 3 baby onesies was $50.00. All in all I would say the weekend was a success!

Greg, you're totally impressin' me, man! Awesome surprise! I'm certain it was as wonderful as you've described it. However, the armpit massage info had me getting a wiggly feeling--kind of heeby-jeeby-ish. :) I've only had one massage in my life, and while it felt great at the time, I felt sick afterwards--I don't think I drank enough liquids afterwards or something, but despite the woozy feeling I had, I would love to have another one someday. Sounds neat. Glad y'all continue to have a good time.
